Indianapolis, Indiana: John Traub, President of Thiele Heating & Air Conditioning, stated today that the very popular Indiana Heating and Air Conditioning Incentive Program (IHIP) will be ending soon.
In a statement released yesterday, Indiana Lt. Governor Becky Skillman announced that the successful program is expected to run out of money by July 15, 2010.
- The program will have distributed nearly $6 million in rebates for the purchase and installation of Energy Star rated heating and air conditioning equipment in Indiana homes.
- It is expected over 15,000 rebates averaging $400 each will have been distributed to Hoosiers when the fund is depleted.
“The IHIP program has been a total success,“ said Lt. Governor Becky Skillman. “Literally thousands of Hoosiers are now enjoying a more energy efficient home because they were able to take advantage of this rebate program.” Read the complete press release. (opens in new window)
According to Mr. Traub, "We still have a great selection of air conditioning units available to keep your family cool and comfortable all summer long, as well as a wide selection of heating and other ventilation products that will qualify Indiana homeowners for the Energy Star rebate program. Our estimators can help you sort through your options once you decide to take advantage of this opportunity before it’s gone.
