Our History

"I can remember so well when we would walk up Washington Boulevard or Meridian Street, how my father would point to nearly every house and say, ‘and there is a Thiele furnace in that house…’ I often wondered as a young boy, if there were any other furnace companies? How proud he was of the quality of his product. IT TRULY IS THE BEST."

Still Going Strong in Central Indiana

Thiele was founded in 1883 by Wilhelm Oliver Thiele as a manufacturer of the L.C. Thiele furnace.  Many prestigious central Indiana homes were warmed by Thiele furnaces.

In 1939 the government needed a manufacturing facility to support the efforts of our military in World War II, which our plant provided.  It was at that time that Thiele started installing other brand furnaces while maintaining the quality service central Indiana residents had grown so accustomed to.

Today we celebrate continued local family ownership along with excellence in top quality installation and service. Call 317-639-1111 and see the difference Thiele’s commitment to quality and service makes!
